About this course

This course explores the multifaceted world of endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain, including the emerging treatment approach involving medicinal cannabis. The course will explore the aetiology and pathophysiology of endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain, the evidence-based treatment protocols, and management options for endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. The course will then explore the potential use of medicinal cannabis as a treatment option and list the available medicinal cannabis access pathways for prescribers. 

Once the eLearning has been completed, there is short clinical audit, providing an opportunity to apply the principles learned during the course.

This course provides the latest evidence on endometriosis management and the potential use of medicinal cannabis, empowering healthcare providers to make informed decisions and better support their patients in their journey towards managing endometriosis.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

    1. Explain the aetiology and known pathophysiology of endometriosis.

    2. Describe the evidence-based treatment protocols used in the medical management of endometriosis.

    3. Explain the potential mechanism of medicinal cannabis in managing endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain associated with endometriosis.

    4. List the medicinal cannabis access pathways available to prescribers.
