About this course
Welcome to the Navigating regulation and access to medicinal cannabis course as part of the CannabisRx: Pharmacists’ Guide to Medicinal Cannabis Online Learning. Pharmacists play an important role in advocating for patients who may face challenges in accessing medicinal cannabis.
This course will explore the regulatory framework governing the provision of medicinal cannabis in Australia. This course is designed to equip pharmacists with an understanding of the regulations around Medicinal Cannabis and different pathways for accessing medicinal cannabis.
The course is divided into 3 main sections and will cover the categories of medicinal cannabis products, the regulatory requirements for accessing these products, including TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) approval and access pathways, as well as the regulatory intricacies surrounding extemporaneous compounding of medicinal cannabis products.
